Tricking your brain into staying Active! 😳

You might’ve seen this on my Instagram and so this is the first thing I wanted to bring here as well (because I got plenty of messages that it helped soooo many people, so I thought why not share it here? 😊)

For the days you’re feeling sleepy/lazy while studying all those dry (mostly theoretical in my case) subjects or working late? Not sure how to tackle this situation? Then you’re at the right place! I have just the right trick to help you study/work actively for longer hours!

This isn’t just a trick found while scrolling through TikTok (not saying that they’re all gimmicks but, you know 😅) and it works wonders and guess what?

This is SCIENTIFICALLY proven to be effective by Dr. Andrew Huberman, who’s a well-known Neuroscience Professor.

So essentially when we’re tired, our eyes start drooping (feeling heavy) and our face tilts a bit downwards which makes us THINK that we’re sleepy.

Avoid that now in just 2 steps.

Yes you read that right!, just 2 simple steps and you will feel more alert than before. 😉

First, sit straight in an active position and tilt your chin up slightly. Then, look upwards towards your ceiling (your eyes are almost as if they rolled back). Stay in that position for about 10-15 seconds before you return back to your normal posture.

What does that do? You will feel increased alertness as it triggers those parts of your brain 🧠 that have link with keeping you awake.

Other than that, while working or studying on your laptop or computer, make sure your gadgets are at an eye level so you’re more alert because if you look down at a screen to focus, you’re likely to feel tired sooner.

This worked for me and may work for you too but of course not if you haven’t slept for 2 days, it’s only a quick hack when you feel lazy. 👀

If this helps you, do let me know below and I will surely come with more! Because there’s so many things I want to share!

Best, Z! ✨
