I am so so SO beyond happy to be sharing this with you guys! 🥹
I’m often asked these questions;
“Zara, what was your strategy to passing all these exams in one go?”
“What was your subject combination for these modules?”
“What resources should I use?”
To answer all these questions, I’m going to share an e-book that’s just been launched by Viva Tuition which is an institute based in Ireland for ACCA and CMIA qualifications. I’ve shared my pieces of advice in this book you guys how cool is that?! 🙈 Do go over it if you’re sitting for FR!
This e-book’s surely going to help you gain an insight into the little tips on what to place more focus on and what NEEDS your attention! It has very useful tips from experienced people (like myself heh) and of course examiner tips and what not. DO give it a read and let me know your thoughts. (download link at the end of article)
And as for the other question, about my subject combinations – I followed this sequence for my subjects and it worked really well for me (might work for you idk), but yes it was according to my preferences so..
This was how I went about my 13 modules:
I cleared six fundamentals in the first year (phir nazar lag gayi 🥲 jk):
Business and Technology (BT) and Financial Accounting (FA) together
Management Accounting (MA) and Corporate and Business Law (LW)
Taxation (TX) with Performance Management (PM)
Audit and Assurance (AA) with Financial Management (FM)
and then Financial Reporting (FR) which sorta overlapped with the classes for the last two.
For Professionals, i took one at a time.
Started with Strategic Business Reporting (SBR), followed by Advanced Audit and Assurance (UK & INT) (AAA) BECAUSE I was told it’s best to go for Advanced Audit after i’ve brushed up on my standards cuz that’s necessary for AAA.
I took up ATX (idek why to this date 😭) and dropped it two months in because i knew it wasn’t for me, and that’s fine. It was a minor setback for then but it worked out fine since I took up something that was more of my liking – Advanced Financial Management (AFM). LOVED IT!!
Then sat for Strategic Business Leader (SBL) at the end because it seemed the scariest to me ngl (4 hours and non-stop writing 😰). During the course of which I also cleared my Ethics and Professional Skills module (EPSM).
And so, I’m an Affiliate now! ALHAMDULILLAH
Detailed discussion on Youtube soon IA! Until then, happy to answer your questions below in the comments.
Best, Z! 🧚🏻♀️

I’m a student of ICMAP doing ACMA(currently in Operation Level 2) , Should i also do b.com along with my ACMA ? i mean is it important to do b.com along with ACMA or ACCA or CA ? Zara! did you did b.com degree along with with your ACCA?
From which institute you did do your ACCA? Can you tell me please the basic information about ACCA? How do I start this? Is any type of diploma necessary to do before ACCA? I want this info for my younger brother. He completed his Fsc (pre-medical) with a 98% mark.
Which one is more better Kaplan or BPP if we want to look into more books.
I would suggest BPP for practice. Kaplan is easier to read so it’s good for text.
